bi-partisanship

seems awfully funny that NOW the republicans are talking bi-partisanship ALL the time, after getting their butts royally kicked! they weren't so bi-partisan before, and NOW keep blaming their defeat on the economy. give me a break! i'm sick of them and their hypocritical "so called" morality... and agenda! they want to throw us back to the dark ages... and they've already had their 8 years of those, svp! and dragged us down into them...

AND ... btw, where did bay buchanan come from... and will she please go back, with ann coulter, to whatever hell they both crawled up from? she started making the news rounds before the election. those FOX news [?] political pundits, talking heads- all yakking their opinion like it's the gospel- with mouths full of insipid/banal/inane bile to spew... i'm thinking it's time to disconnect from cable... but then i'd miss the TBN Circus... tres amusent!

nightmare scenario: palin & huckabee in 2012

okay... we just had an historic election- and won our freedom from 8 years of republican rule and damned near ruin- but the right wing neo-cons are already plotting to take back "their" power. they actually think sarah palin is a qualified presidential candidate, which is fucking frightening.

both she and mike huckabee [who is probably also running in 2012- he somehow got a fox news job recently... what does that tell you?] are born again religious nutjobs who do not believe in evolution ["or photosynthesis or anything else" as paul begala said]- who want to teach 'creationism' in schools, who are anti abortion, and anti gay marraige--- and promote oh, the whole right wing christian conservative HATE agenda- which we just voted OUT!- and which DOES NOT belong in 21st century american politics or government! it never did! god forbid, if they run together [but i think their individual egos are too big for that]- there again, if they ran together we could possibly kill 2 birds with 1 stone; metaphorically speaking, of course.

i think democrats and independents need to STAY involved and active- to prevent the right wing from ever taking power again. we need to also start mobilizing our troops now, and get ready to vote in every election up until 2012- and vote for every democrat we can!

the republicans are pissed that they lost, but they brought about their own downfall... and now that they're down, we need to keep them down! trust me, they would do the same... "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" does not seem to be in their vocabulary, or playbook, no matter how much they spout the Bible. i think 'do unto them before they do unto you" might be a better motto!

they're sore losers- and are acting like they have been wronged. boo hoo hoo. i've had 8 years of their gloating- and calling the democrats "everything but a child of god"[as obama said]. even though i try not to BE like them- it's hard not to relish this delicious victory! revenge is a dish best served cold!

PREJUDICE/RACSIM STILL LIVES

I cannot understand why blacks, who have been oppressed for so long, voted 70% against gay marriage in California! especially in light of THIS historic election. they were followed in %s by Latinos then whites. i'm a firm believer in "live and let live" and feel gay marriage does not affect anyone but the 2 marriage participants! anyone crazy enough to WANT to get married should be allowed to.

i also cannot understand the sign burnings, and NOOSE hanging at that University in Texas, and all the overt racism, because OBAMA- who was chosen BY the majority [all races, sexes, religions, income levels ] of Americans- won the election! WE THE PEOPLE voted him in... not any one group of americans.

i have a friend who was harassed because he SAID he voted for Obama, because he thought he was "the best man for the job"; 2 black guys he works with were harassed JUST because they're black!

WE obviously have not moved very far, as much as we'd like to think we have... we still have a long way to go on social issues, civil rights, and equality for all people in this country- prejudice still lives... and it saddens me, especially after this HOPEFUL AND INSPIRATIONAL election

Goodybe Caribou Barbie, the First Dud, Joe Six Pack and Joe the Plumber! And good riddance!... but WAIT

"thank god and greyhound, she's gone" as the old country song goes... i'm sick of the Wassilla Hillbillies: her her '1st dude [dud], and brood. BUT... i really have to thank Sarah, for helping Obama win the election! her ineptitude and idiotic remarks [see videos] were certainly a "blessing"! i hope joe the plumber disappears back in obscurity...
btw, the GOP is supposedly sending a lawyer to get some of that 150K drag back!

BUT here's something VERY scary... IF Ted Stevens [senator and felon] gets thrown out- it could open up the seat for Mme. P! READ THIS SO unfortunately... we may not have seen the last of this cow! i'm certain "she'll be baaaaaaaaaack"

LET'S HOPE SHE GETS AN EDUCATION- AND A VOICE COACH [her voice is like nails on a chalkboard]- BEFORE SHE STEPS FOOT OUT OF ALASKA AGAIN!

shock and awe! why would anyone vote for McCain Palin?

i am utterly in a state of shock and awe when i hear some people's reasoning, or lack thereof, for voting for the McCain Palin ticket; the most recent being last night.

at my gig last night some dumb cow asked me, "have you made your political choice?"- i was a bit taken aback, and almost said, "that's none of your business" but instead said, "yes I've already voted... and you?... have you made your political choice?" and she said, "yes, i'm voting for sarah palin." to which i replied, "but SHE isn't running for president... john mccain is!" [i almost said, "yes, you would vote for her because she's just as dumb as you are" - but instead walked away.] this woman is a so-called "professional"- but how she got through med school is beyond me- but then she probably IS like sarah palin: a parrot: read repeat, read repeat, read repeat... ad nauseum. she reminded me of someone on a jay leno "jaywalking" segment- or miss teen south carolina 2007... but then so does Ms. P- so, yes, she would vote for sarah: water seeks it's own level!

the republicans are playing by karl rove's playbook- using dirty tricks, character assassination, fear mongering and smear campaigns- JUST to win the election. they're not above cheating, or hitting below the belt- and you can bet on election day, just as there already has been- voter fraud and disenfranchisement will abound! they've already been putting out 'official looking' fliers in virginia telling democrats to vote the day AFTER the election- on Nov. 5th, as well as spreading other lies. the last 2 elections were stolen or rigged- can we expect anything different this time? i think we should go back to paper ballots- or anything that leaves a paper trail- especially when you know that the makers of the voting machines were- and probably still are- are huge republican contributors. big business is not going to go quietly...

mccain is pissing and moaning about obama's fund raising- and reneging on not taking public funding- but you can bet if the shoe was on the other foot- he'd be singing a different song. now they're scurrying to raise millions to do attack ads against obama in battleground states. the ONLY thing republicans really care about is holding onto their money and their power; and they will do anything and everything- and will fight dirty, even filthy- to win. they're rabble rousers who play to the lowest common denominator. they cloak themselves in a shroud of morality when they are anything but moral.
these are your "compassionate conservatives" -"moral majority" [read the indictments from 2005! there are even more NOW!] the holier than thou---

they are now blaming the democratic* congress for all our current woes, when they* have not held that power for very long- and have had to fight the right at every turn. THEY [REPUBLICANS] had it ALL for all those years and brought us to this mess we're in. the democrats have to clean up the shit they left! but typical of the neo-cons, anyone who doesn't go along with the right's [and W's] agenda are traitors, and worse... just listen to their mouth-pieces: o'reilly, hannity, limbaugh, dobson, coulter... liars all- to see/hear the TRUE nature of the GOP.
wanda sykes called them the evil empire- and she ain't wrong! even hillary referred to cheney as darth vader. she should know.

they call obama a socialist, when this administration, this government, has just bailed out wall street [and is talking about detroit] which has already makes us a socialist country- and bush's tax cuts which mccain/aplin want to continue was and is nothing but welfare for the rich!
"my friends- heh heh"

i'm reminded of a line in Forest Gump- "stupid is as stupid does" and i really feel that if americans vote for these 2 war-mongering, fear baiting, power drunk idiots, they get what they deserve- which will be 4 more years exactly like the 8 we've just had... if not worse [and i predict worse].
the fact that they are both as dumb as dirt [and mccain admits to being older than dirt- which means a palin presidency COULD happen IF,
GOD forbid, they are elected] is frightening... horrifying! but then SHE has already made the freudian slip: "a palin/mccain ticket"- so we know HER intentions. "you betcha..." wink, wink.

for the life of me. i cannot understand WHY any intelligent, thinking person could vote for them... but then, therein lies the answer... i have heard more than once [from several women who support Palin]- [read the comments both pro and con!] when i have spoken of obama's intelligence " well... we don't need intelligence..." DUH! and again, i have just had to walk away... you cannot argue with stupid people... it's rather like the old adage about teaching a pig to sing...

click on this link to read some of the pearls of wisdom that have fallen from the gobs of these two DANGEROUS geniuses :
palin and mccain
